We are still powering through paperwork on the quest to be members! Up next is the Bible Knowledge Assessment (test). It is an intensive inquiry into our grasp of the Bible. We are told to set aside 2-3 hours to take the test! We each have to pass the test individually. If we don't pass it, The Organization provides other opportunities to take the test after we have completed some Bible courses at a Bible college or something similar. Both of us have grown up in the church, but we are both pretty nervous about this one! It has been sitting in my email inbox for about 2 weeks, just STARING at me every time I go in to check my email! Last time, I even yelled at my computer, "OK OK! I'll do it! Just give me a little more time to study!" (it didn't respond, it just kept staring)
On another note, we are preparing the house to be on the market by the end of August. Be praying that we will have the energy to get everything done, that God will send a buyer in spite of the market, and that we will not be discouraged in the process.
One more thing, if you are praying for us and interested in helping us make a life in PNG, please be thinking about how we could connect with your church, small group, etc., to let them know what we are trying to do! We are looking forward to showing what God is doing in PNG and across the globe!

START FROM THE FIRST POST: THE REASON WHY. This blog is meant to be a journal of our experiences of our time with "The Organization" in Papua New Guinea (Prudency requires the name to be withheld).
